Feasts and Saints

The Gibraltar Lieutenancy follows the Liturgical Calendar of the Gibraltar Diocese. As such, there are some feasts particular to the Rock, that are celebrated by the Lieutenancy. For example, the Feast of Our Lady of Europe first venerated on the Rock in 1309, and the Feast of St Bernard of Clairvaux. However, we also observe some other feasts important to the EOHSJ. These feasts are:

The Feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of Palestine

(October 25th)

The Feast of the Holy Cross

(September 14th)

The memorial of St Pius X

(August 21st)

The memorial of  St Helena

(August 18th)

Bl. Bartholomew Longo

(October 5th)
